So that very old post from 2017 didn't age well.
I still haven't handed in the PhD thesis, but I have been doing a lot in the meantime. On-and-off I've been working part time in the research group - doing work on my own project almost as a hobby on the side. The main thing I've been working on has been a book on neutron scattering by Kim Lefmann, my supervisor. I've been setting everything up to work with the publisher's layout, getting old figures working right, making new figures, and working on grammar, spelling, layout, and looks of almost everything. It's turning out amazing, though it's taking a long time. Hopefully that'll be published within the next year or two, so it can look nice on my shelf!
However, I'm taking a break on all of those side works for now: Since this New Year, I have dedicated my full attention to finally getting my PhD thesis written and handed in. During the last month, I've also finally been re-enrolled to the PhD school at the University of Copenhagen, so I can actually hand the thing in to them.
Originally I set myself a hand-in-deadline of end of March, but let's see if I can keep that. The PhD school set a deadline of May 1st, and I'm thinking I'll definitely be done before that. Fingers crossed!
